About Bud Ackerman

Bud Ackerman was born in New York City in 1926.  He lived most of his life in New Jersey, with a cottage in Stockbridge, Massachusetts.  He died in 2019 at the age of 92.

Bud was passionate about social justice.  He had enormous empathy, and he was personally offended when he saw another human being treated cruelly or unfairly.

Bud was a chemist, inventor, and creative entrepreneur who valued scientific data-driven research.  He also enjoyed opera, politics, and sports.

And Bud knew an important secret of life, that giving is a great source of happiness. With his big heart and playful, generous spirit, Bud found great pleasure in giving his time, attention, money, and wisdom to others.
